Here is a list of websites and authors who have been influential to me over the past several years. Click on their picture to learn more.
Andy Stanley
The lead pastor of North Point Ministries in Atlanta, GA, Andy is an incredible leader, teacher, and communicator. His podcasts are incredibly instructive and his generous sharing of ideas beneficial to the entire family. His books are clearly written and insightful. Taking a few minutes to learn from Andy, regardless of your faith, is a great way to grow daily.
John Wooden
Few men have left such an indelible mark on the world as Coach Wooden. While his teams succeeded on the courts, his players would tell you he helped them succeed in life above all else. His Christ based, principled yet humble approach to life is one we would all be better off for imitating.
All Pro Dad
Mark Merrill and his team provide several resources to busy dads who want to be better for their children,
their wfies, themselves and their God. The daily email is always insightful and easy to put into action. In addition to running All Pro Dad, Mark's team runs Family First, a nonproft that's on a mission to parenting, marriage and relational truth that helps people love their family well and gives them great hope for the future.
Art of Manliness
One of the first and still the best site on the web of distilling all things manly. Brett and Kate McKay take a classical approach to the virtues of manhood, ask great questions, provide thoughtful answers and research deeper than anyone else we've read. The McKays have expanded to offer a wonderful book and provide several updates a week on their website and in teh podcasts. AOM is both highly informational and enjoyable.
